Established with a pursuit for scientific endeavors, University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM) in Olsztyn came together in 1999 when different academic centers, especially the higher education institutions in Olsztyn merged. 1.     High school certificate/official transit with A-grade overall score including Biology and at least one of either Chemistry, Physics, or Maths.

1. For English Language Proficiency, submission of credible certification required for non-native English speakers.
2. Mandatory Entrance Exam.

The requirements given above are mandatory for students who opt for the medical curriculum of six years at UWM. It is applicable for both Polish and international students.
